Bio-Methanol: Shifting from Problems to Solutions
OROVILLE | CALIFORNIA
OroCarbo is developing a plant to convert agricultural waste biomass into low carbon intensity bio-methanol and bio-char to decarbonize the transportation and chemical industries.

TRANSFORMING WOOD WASTE
INTO BIO-METHANOL AND BIO-CHAR
Our process transforms wood chips into bio-methanol or “wood alcohol” and bio-char. Our plant will help improve
local air quality by providing solutions to open burning
of agricultural waste and trucking forest biomass to
distant facilities.

01
Wildfire Problems
Wildfires are the second largest cause of air pollution in California, 10x more harmful than pollution from fossil sources. Wildfires have also devastated some small rural communities and caused financial hardship to the region in increased fire insurance and electric utility rates.

02
Clean Energy
Bio-methanol is a renewable fuel that can help clean-up the shipping industry. OroCarbo’s
low carbon intensity bio-methanol can be engineered to meet the decarbonizing goals
of our customers.

03
Net-Zero Value Chain
OroCarbo aims to offer the most value for our
customers and suppliers alike throughout the value chain.
